BCG shot gone wild

Mommy said since I live in China I must have my BCG jab.  It hurt.  And now it's gone funny...mommy panicked a bit but the doc said I am OK.

    aren't bcg jabs are supposed to give the red spot?
    and it will eventually result in a scar?
