first hike in 2014!

I was leading, as usual.  I'm always full of beans!

It was a crisp and bright day.

                    

 Too bad Jessica didn't join.  She doesn't like cold.

 We built a dam from the rain water the day before.

 I found a ladybug.  It must have been (almost) warm enough.

gingerbread-man scone

Daddy and I made a gingerbread man scone for Patrick, who was coming over for tea.  The middle was not cooked through unfortunately.  I guess that's why scones are round!

We wanted to go for a stroll on the beach but it had disappeared all together in the very choppy sea!

                    

I almost got wet too.

                    

We got ice-cream.  We were happy.  And we found out clotted cream (with ice cream of course) is the best moisturiser for lips.

We were so excited to be able to go out for lunch with everybody.

 Now Jessica loves butter after Auntie Anne's help.

 I didn't need bread.  I wanted to talk, talk, and talk!

 Ella got fussy towards the end so mommy got out the iPad.  Lucky her!

 Walking back to the car.  It wasn't too cold.  It was an awesome afternoon.

I was all ready to watch the boxing day hunt.

Christmas lunch

Cheers!  We had duck and partridges this year.  I tried both!

 Ella loved duck and all the trimmings too.

Jessica must have had 6 pigs in blankets.

Santa came!  Yay!!!  I was pretty confident that he would come.

We got to open presents in the morning too.  Yay!

 Ella must have been a good girl too.

We were happy again by day 3.  It took us 3 days to get rid of our jet lags.  

 It was time to start our gingerbread house.

                 

                 

I'm proud of the final product.  It was very yummy too.

We love our Christmas decorations.  We helped decorate the staircase too.

                

hello England!

I was all smile before our "night nap".  We got some sleep before we set off for our mid-night flight.

               

We were all pretty cheerful even though it was late.

               

We were waiting to get on the A380.  I decided cart-wheels were the best thing to do to kill some time.

               

Ella wanted her own seat.  Not till she is 2!

               

Jessica and I got to sit on our own behind mommy and daddy.  We felt like big girls surely.

back to kindergarten

I went back to my old school to go to Ella's Christmas party.  It was nice to see my old teachers.  I was greeted like a home-coming queen!
