Ness Cove

We had been to the Ness a few times but never visited Ness Cove.  It is tucked away below a tunnel behind a zoo.

 We went to Exmouth for our first fishing experience.

We kept having technical issues with our lines.  Eventually JM and I had more fun splaying our feet in the water.

 We did catch two tiddlers.

 It was getting too hot and so we packed up and got ice cream.  I love fishing and I want to go again.

We bought fishing gear and we practiced in the garden.

 So far so good.

 Ella wasn't all that interested.

Daddy flew in first thing in the morning to join my birthday party.  My neighbours Patrick, Daniella and her mommy and daddy also joined.

I served our favourite snacks: olives, sausage rolls, cocktail sausages, and scotch eggs.  It's an odd mix but that's how we like it.

There had been some drama with my safari cake that mommy ordered, but daddy managed to save it with a replacement.  I was very happy nonetheless.

I'm 6!

On my 6th birthday I decided to go check out Woodlands Family Park.  We enjoyed all the rides there.

 It's a good change of scenery from Crealy.  Can't really decided which we like better though.

One day before my birthday and I was eating cake already.  I love cupcakes!

 It says Happy Birthday on the menu!  I was getting so excited.

We got to visit our friend's place and net their cute pet chicken.

Cornwall

We headed down to Cornwall to see our friends Dexter and Felix.  It had been three years since we last met.  We got to Crantock Beach just after 11 and the place is huge!

 It wasn't too crowded and we loved how flat it is.  We could use less wind though.

 Someone liked bread sticks.

The tide was all the way out shortly after our arrival.  We loved the shallow puddles.

JM enjoyed playing on the quick sand too.

We joined a family to do some crabbing.

Mid-afternoon Dexter and Felix joined. Yay!  We had a couple of hours of fun playing on the beach and climbing on sand dunes.  A fun day!

violin concert

My violin teacher in Devon had asked me to join the group performance at his concert and I was more than happy to do so.

It was great to hear the other children.  Mommy and I learned so much from our teacher too, hopefully he will be able to teach us again next summer.

Dartmeet

We enjoyed a little punic at Dartmeet by the river.

I ate my lunch quick so I could go off to the stepping stones.

 JM joined me eventually.  The water was pretty cold.

Ella enjoyed splashing around for a bit and of course she got water going over her boots at one point and cried.
