scarf

Tusker, seen here with the scarf mommy knitted him.  I must start knitting too.

a day in the garden

Dawlish Warren

We recovered from the wedding/late night very quickly the next day and set off to the nature reserve in Dawlish Warren.  It turned out to be a fabulous day.
Daddy and I tried to do a bit of fishing while Jessica and Ella played.

I got bored after a while, as there didn't seem to be any fish around!
On our way back Ella was heard saying wait for me the whole time.

wedding

Our second wedding we attend.  It was full of fun with lots of space to run around.
Mommy and Auntie Anne in their pretty dresses.
We felt very grown up to be included in the dinner.

Cookie and milk was a big hit!
Auntie Anne supplied lots of yummy cupcakes and desserts too.
Wedding cake cutting.
Congratulations Amanda and Alec!
Hanging out with Uncle Alan.
And then it was party time!  Daddy danced with all of us.
We left around 8pm...totally exhausted!

lunch

Lunch with Uncle Terry and Auntie Val.  Had not seen them for a while so it was nice to catch up.
The pub was right next to a river and it was perfect for crabbing as the tide was up.
The water was a bit cold.
We caught quite a few - and it was fun to let them go too.

pond cleaning

Daddy and Mommy decided to clear the pond out.
It turned out to be a 9-hr job.  They must have pulled out tons of weed literally.
We decided to do some pond dipping as all the creatures were stirred and out.
Once again the ducks came to see what's going on.  Cute.
We also cleared out Lucy Goose's eggs. They were a bit too old for eating now.
The hundreds of newts we found in the weed. Hope they all made it to the pond overnight.

twins

T-shirts Daddy got from NYC.  Check out our socks too.

Haldon forest

We went up the the forest to have a play and a picnic.

Ella found a Gruffalo!
Unfortunately we had a flat tire and it was impossible to get one of the nuts off.  Even the AA guy had a hard time.  Luckily at the end we got it out by whacking the nut in with a hammer!
It was dinner time when we got home.  The ducks were very hungry!

violin practice

It's more fun to practice when it's sunny.

giant

A giant blueberry!

rainy day

Seemed like we had brought rain from Hong Kong.  D'oh!
What do you do on a rainy day?  Eat!
There were dry intervals to venture out here and there.
We get a lot of duck visitors when we play outside these days.
We even managed to get a tracker ride in the rain.
At least when it's wet the deers come out.

country life

Quite a change of scenery from Hong Kong.
Lunch at River Exe Cafe.  Too bad the weather wasn't nice enough for us to sit out.

We were happy either way as long as we got fish and chips.
